Blackmon, James Jr.  Indiana 6'4" 190 SG jr. Blackmon is a shooter. He can stroke the three-ball and generally any open look he has, you think the ball is going in the hole. In his final year with Indiana, the junior guard led the Big Ten in three-point percentage (42.3) and ranked third in total threes with 91 made. He shot 82% FT for his career. He finished his three seasons as a Hoosier with more turnovers than assists which is troubling for any guard. ...Blackmon has a 6'8.5" wingspan (same as Buddy Hield and Ben Gordon). Defense was not a strong suit for Blackmon. His DEFRTG is significantly worse than the Indiana team DEFRTG. We doubt Blackmon will be drafted but we think he is worth a look due to his shooting ability.

Good advice: In 2005, the 42nd pick in the NBA Draft was Chris Taft. We advised, "Draft Ryan Gomes."
