Dozier, P.J.  South Carolina 6'7" 201 SF soph. At some point in the second round of the NBA Draft, teams would be wise to look for players who might not be complete yet, but if they reach their full potential, they will have a chance to stick in the league. P.J. Dozier fits that bill. Leaving South Carolina after his sophomore season, Dozier is far from a finished product. In his two seasons he shot just 39% FG. His three point shooting was well below standards for a wing. He made just 27.7% of his college threes. His woeful 57.9% FT shooting over two seasons is further proof of his shooting related limitations. The rest of his game is workable. Dozier is an NBA athlete. He tested with a 39" max. vert at the 2017 NBA Draft Combine (Jimmy Butler put up the same 39" number in 2011). Dozier's wingspan is 6'11" (same as Andre Iguodala, and Taurean Prince). Dozier had slightly more assists than turnovers and he defends well. His DEFRTG was better than the South Carolina team DEFRTG (something you don't often see from a wing). ...Shooting can, and usually does improve. And that is why we think teams should take a deep look at Dozier.

Good advice: In 2016 the 55th pick in the NBA Draft was Marcus Paige. We advised, "Draft Gary Payton II."
