Hampton, R.J.  NZ Breakers  6'5" 195 SG 2/7/01 Hampton is a sharp, 19 year-old, kid that has great speed. He is shifty with the dribble, and uses change of pace well. He has great leaping ability. Right handed but uses his left as well.  He uses the Euro-step well. …Hampton is from Texas but he opted to play what would have been his freshman NCAA season in New Zealand as a professional. He averaged 9.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 21 minutes per game. Hampton's deep shooting is a work in progress. He made just 29% of his three-point attempts in 2019-20. He is a 73% free throw shooter. ...He posted a 1.68-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. ...He is a good defender. His team in New Zealand was 1.8 points per 100 possessions, better with Hampton on the floor. ...Hampton left New Zealand early to return to the USA to prepare for the Draft. He has been working with Penny Hardaway and Mike Miller.  ...As a prep, he was Texas' Player of the Year as a junior. ...He played internationally in FIBA competitions as a member of Team USA U-16, and U-17. There is lots to like about Hampton's potential.
