Holmgren, Chet Gonzaga 7'0"  195 PF frosh.

Holmgren is a versatile player that, at his best, can affect a game on both ends of the floor. He averaged 14.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.7 blocked shots per game as a freshman at Gonzaga. He was the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year. The right handed Holmgren is skinny but tough. He will accept a challenge and not shy away. The Zags were a whopping 10.6 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Holmgren on the floor. Many of the shots he doesn't block, he changes. Far from just a BIG stiff, Holmgren has ball handling ability and the skill to make perimeter shots. He shot 39% 3-pt. FG, and 71.7% FT. He had an equal amount of assists and turnovers. Holmgren is the age of a sophomore (20) despite his freshman status. He led the WCC in boxscore plus/minus, win shares, total rebounds, defensive rebounds, total blocks, field goal percentage and true shooting percentage! We believe Holmgren will be among the first two picks in the Draft. He may never be a GREAT offensive player but his impact on winning due to his overall game, especially on the defensive end is why we rank him first overall.

Our best advice: in 2007, the 1st pick was Greg Oden. We advised, "draft Kevin Durant."
