2024 NBA All-Stars
The NBA All-Star game starters were announced. The coaches will vote on the seven reserves in each Conference. How would Hoop Obsession vote?
East Starters: Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid.
East Reserves: Jalen Brunson, Scottie Barnes, Julius Randle, Trae Young, Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Maxey, Paolo Banchero. (DeMar DeRozan as injury replacement for Randle.)
West Starters: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic.
West Reserves: Anthony Davis, Domantas Sabonis, Alperen Sengun, Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, De'Aaron Fox.
What will really happen?
In the East, I doubt Siakam or Randle make the coaches cut. Donovan Mitchell and Jaylen Brown will make it. Others who might be considered: DeJounte Murray, Bam Adebayo,and Mikal Bridges.
In the West, I doubt Towns or Sengun will receive the nod from the coaches vote. Stephen Curry and Kawhi Leonard WILL make it. Fox deserves a spot in our opinion but Paul George, Rudy Gobert or Jamal Murray could very well be in play too. Long-shots include: Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren, Lauri Markkanen, Brandon Ingram and James Harden.
